# Commandline usage — PNG and HTML export

> Canonical page: https://empfpreview.com/docs/cli/

- `EmpfPreview.exe` supports commandline export for scripted or batch workflows
- The installer does not add the executable to PATH, so examples use the full installed path (under `C:\Program Files\EMPF Preview\`)
- Outputs: high-quality PNG preview, lightweight thumbnail-sized PNG, and a Seer-style HTML preview

## When to use CLI export

Use the CLI when you want PNG previews of many `.empf` files at once, or want to integrate previews into your own scripts or documentation workflow. PowerShell examples with exact flags and recommended sizes are on the canonical page.

## Verify output

Each command writes its output file next to where you point it; open the PNG/HTML to confirm the render.
