# How to open an EMPF file

- To edit or print a `.empf` project: use eufyMake Studio (the official app)
- To quickly see what is inside local `.empf` files: use EMPF Preview (thumbnails, quick preview, PNG export)
- The two complement each other; EMPF Preview does not replace Studio

## Which tool should I use?

- **eufyMake Studio** — open, edit and print projects. This is the official workflow.
- **EMPF Preview** — identify local projects at a glance: Windows Explorer thumbnails, a quick local preview window, Seer Spacebar preview and PNG export. Everything runs locally; files are never uploaded.

## What EMPF Preview does not do

It does not edit, convert or print `.empf` projects, and it does not open cloud-only projects — it works with local Windows files.
