What the installer does
The installer registers EMPF Preview as a local preview and thumbnail helper for .empf files. It also refreshes the EMPF thumbnail cache and restarts Explorer so Windows can request fresh thumbnails.

Privacy and local processing
Your .empf files are processed locally. EMPF Preview does not upload project files to our servers.
No EMPF Preview account is required for the local viewer.
Windows security note
New Windows desktop apps may show a Microsoft SmartScreen warning until the app and publisher have built reputation. This build is intentionally starting as an unsigned early release to keep the first pilot small.

Code signing is planned before broader public release.
Known limitation
Explorer thumbnails for files stored directly on OneDrive Desktop may depend on OneDrive Files On-Demand behavior. If thumbnails do not appear there, test with a normal local folder first.
