EMPF Preview is designed as a local Windows utility.

Local file processing

EMPF Preview processes .empf files locally on your Windows PC. The app does not upload your project files to our servers.

No account required

You do not need an EMPF Preview account to use the local viewer.

Logs

The app may write local diagnostic logs to:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\EMPFPreview\logs

These logs stay on your computer unless you choose to send them for support.

Website analytics

This website uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand page visits, download-page navigation, installer download clicks and documentation usage. We do not need to track the contents of your project files.

The downloads server also writes standard Apache access logs. These logs are used to count installer download requests, diagnose errors and detect broken links. No EMPF Preview account or e-mail address is required to download the early pilot.
