Privacy

EMPF Preview is designed as a local Windows utility.

Local file processing

EMPF Preview processes .empf files locally on your Windows PC. The app does not upload your project files to our servers.

No account required

You do not need an EMPF Preview account to use the local viewer.

Logs

The app may write local diagnostic logs to:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\EMPFPreview\logs

These logs stay on your computer unless you choose to send them for support.

Website analytics

This website uses privacy-friendly analytics to understand page visits, buy-page navigation, Stripe checkout clicks, installer download clicks and documentation usage. We do not need to track the contents of your project files.

For the private pilot dashboard, the website also writes a small first-party event log for selected conversion events. This event log stores the event name, an anonymous session ID for the current browser session, page path, target path or short target label, UTM campaign fields when present and the external referrer host when present. It does not store the contents of project files, IP addresses or user agents.

The downloads server also writes standard Apache access logs. These logs are used to count installer download requests, diagnose errors and detect broken links. No EMPF Preview account is required to download the installer.

Payments

If you purchase a download, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe may process payment details, billing address, payment status and fraud-prevention data. EMPF Preview stores only the order reference, payment status, customer e-mail address returned by Stripe, selected installer version and download-link metadata needed to deliver the download and support refunds.

Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on this website.
